Processing and security of personal data
When you make a booking to stay at our holiday home, we require certain information from you.
We also process data in other cases, such as requests for information, e.g. by telephone or via the contact form on our website.
What do we need from you?
We use Bukazu’s booking system. Here we ask you for your personal data. We also store information about your previous bookings. This way we can help you faster and more efficiently.
Below is a description of the data we may process and what we do with it:
Your first name, last name and gender
In order to be able to address you personally in the holiday apartment and in our further communication, we would like to use your personal data. They are also necessary to register your booking and to notify our staff of your arrival.
Address and place of residence
We will email you most of the booking details.
Phone number
Sometimes we have questions about your booking. In some cases we call before departure or after to ask if everything is clear and if everything was to your satisfaction. We will provide our admin with your phone number so they can reach you if needed.
E-mail
We need your e-mail address in order to be able to contact you by e-mail and to confirm your booking. You will receive confirmations of your payments and information about your stay.
Bank details
We only use your bank account number to refund your deposit. We ask for the bank account name to ensure the funds go to the person who owns the bank account.
Number of guests
We ask for the number of guests in order to be able to correctly inform our manager and to fulfill our obligations to report the number of overnight stays. For legal reasons, you must provide us with a copy of your passport, ID card or driver’s license on site.
IP address
We don’t look at your IP address on the internet.

Service
You can reach us by phone and mail. In order to be able to help you in the best possible way, we save your data and questions.
Insurance
Your data will be shared with organizations that carry out activities related to your booking. This also applies to parties that do not belong to Villa Altea. For example, the insurance company if you have cancellation insurance, travel insurance or liability insurance.
Newsletters
We do not send out newsletters.
Data request
Sometimes we use guest data to investigate, prevent and combat fraud. In certain circumstances we are obliged to disclose personal data to certain authorities. In connection with the sanctions legislation, it may also happen that we process your data, e.g. B. must pass on to financial institutions.
Custom
We only save your data when you make a booking.
Contact, view, change or delete data
Upon request, we will inform you whether and which personal data we process. You can request to view, correct, supplement or delete this data at any time.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, you can also contact the competent state authority (the Dutch Authority for Personal Data Protection).
Storage conditions
We will keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this document. However, due to legal regulations, among other things, it may be necessary for us to store the data for a longer period of time.
Basics
Based on the legislation, we have to indicate on which so-called bases your personal data is processed. This primarily concerns the processing of data on the basis of 1) a contract, 2) in connection with a legitimate interest of Villa-Altea, 3) a permit that has been granted and 4) in connection with a legal obligation.
We mainly use your data in connection with your booking or a contract. Your booking will be registered and we will do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We use a secure SSL connection throughout the website. We use security procedures to protect the personal data we process, including to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to this data.
